Boston Public Library purchases

I am very grateful to the Boston Public Library for the purchase of these two pieces for their works on paper collection.

I am especially thankful to Karen Shafts who has been so supportive of my work over the years.

Just cuz

From the Globe and Mail -
A 10-year Census of Marine Life, turned up tiny zooplankton, crustaceans, worms, burrowers and larvae, some of them looking like extras in a science fiction movie and underpinning all life in the seas.

Our Lady of Arlington

I have been eyeing "Our Lady" for months, and finally managed to get these photos to share with you.

I love her! She is right on our main drag, Mass Ave., and she looks out at all the passing traffic. Someone has painted her all up to look kind of tarty but still sweet, and she offers up her lovely mid-century modern plastic covered settee, complete with a welcome note. Don't you love her, too?

studio visit

Ok - new idea - cut up larger paintings on paper, mount on wood, group together very closely on wall.
Work in progress!

What's up lately

Lots of news - I am getting ready to go back to Vermont Studio Center in May!

I got accepted to be part of Golden Acrylic's Working Artist Program. I will be learning how to use all the myriad acrylic products and then be giving workshops in and around the Boston area. But not until next year - gotta get trained first! I look forward to sharing all the cool ways you can use acrylic paint with my students.

Here's a glimpse of some new pieces - very much works in progress.
