The four young Indian recipients of a scholarship residency to Sanskriti joined forces with myself, Anne Krinsky, and Hartash Dale for an impromptu collaborative drawing project. We each made 3 rubbings on paper of interesting textures on the Sanskriti Kendra property. Then, in five minute intervals, we took turns adding painted elements to each rubbing.
We continued to pass around each piece among the seven of us. Some of the results were pretty interesting, and the project certainly helped to break the ice and conquer the language barrier.
